Camarada Charter
Our identity
Created in 1982, the Geneva-based association Camarada supports vulnerable people from migrant backgrounds, primarily women. It offers a point of reception, listening, support, education, social and professional integration, and acts as closely as possible to the needs of its target group.
Our vision
Camarada is committed to a more just, tolerant and solidarity-focussed society.
It is actively involved in creating conditions for considerate integration, promoting life together as well as intercultural understanding while respecting diversity.
Our mission
- To welcome migrants in precarious situations in the canton of Geneva in order to break their isolation and facilitate their social, civic and professional integration.
- To offer training and services in a secure and stimulating environment, which value and enhance personal resources and skills, thus facilitating the acquisition of new knowledge according to the needs and capacities of each individual.
- To offer support and guidance throughout the entire process of social and professional integration so as to promote and reinforce individual autonomy.
- To support parenting and promote the early integration of children.
